Today I listened to a group of students argue about who would win in fight Harry Potter or Percy Jackson. The girls said Harry, while the boys said Percy. They even asked me and I said Harry Potter. (It could be that I’m just a little more obsessed about Harry Potter than I am about Percy Jackson.) Just to hear this conversation going on in the Library made my day 100 percent better. As silly as it sounds, maybe I am making a small difference in these student’s lives.

I haven’t ever heard the Harry v. Percy argument, but some of my friends are still on trying terms because of a Dumbledore v. Gandalf debate.
Oh Gandalf all the way! I was just excited to hear students actually discussing books instead of complaining about them.
